Clark Memorial Hospital - Clark                  Memorial Parking Deck Addition
Location:
Jeffersonville, Indiana
Square Footage:
363 cars
Special Features:
In order to meet the project phasing needs of its outpatient addition and renovation project, Clark Memorial Hospital required an on-site parking structure. The project development schedule for the overall construction program required that the parking structure be designed and constructed in eight months. The structure slips into the sloping site to avoid blocking the primary view of the hospital from Interstate 65. The post-tensioned concrete structure utilized a shallow-spread footing foundation system to control cost. The design was carefully crafted to maintain the open deck, thereby avoiding the additional cost of a sprinkler system.
