This state-of-the-art, comprehensive cancer center, connected to the existing hospital with a pedway, features a modern glass skin with decorative brick and limestone accents. The first floor is home to an advanced radiation oncology center designed with a high-density radiation simulator, CT scanner and three linear accelerator vaults – one of which can be altered for future technology. In the accelerator vaults, panoramic views incorporate elements of the natural world through virtual windows and skylights in an effort to ease patient anxiety and promote healing. The second floor includes medical oncology space with exam rooms, open chemotherapy treatment areas and private rooms. The third floor provides space for future physician growth. A PET scanner suite, brachytherapy source and a large conference room occupy the lower level with the mechanical, electrical and storage space.
